Transfer Requirements

North Carolina A&T welcomes transfer students who want to become a part of our Aggie Family. Requirements

If you are under the age of 24 at the time of enrollment, you must:
  • Submit official High School and College Transcripts for all you have attended
  • Have a 2.0 College GPA from the last school attended

Applicants under the age of 24 must meet the Minimum Course Requirements (MCR) and have passed the following high school courses:
  • 4 Units of English
  • 4 Units of Math (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II, & an Advanced Math)
  • 3 Units of Science (Biological Science, Physical Science, and a Science with a Lab)
  • 2 Units of Social Science, including one unit of US History
  • 2 Units of Foreign Language (same)

If you have not met the Minimum High School Course Requirements (MCR), you will be required to complete the following “specific 30” credit hours at a regionally accredited institution with a grade of “C” or higher in each course:
  • 2 Units of Math
  • 2 Units of English
  • 2 Units of Natural Sciences
  • 2 Units of Social or Behavioral Sciences
  • 2 Units of Foreign Language (same)


If you are under the age of 24 and are a GED/Adult Diploma applicant, you must:
  • Completion of “specific 30” credit hours at a regionally accredited institution with a grade of “C” or higher in each course
  • Submit official GED/Adult Diploma Certificate
  • Submit official College Transcripts for all you have attended
  • Have a 2.0 College GPA from the last school attended


If you are 24 years or older at the time of enrollment, you must:
  • Submit official High School Transcript or GED/Adult Diploma Certificate
  • Submit official College Transcripts for all colleges you have attended
  • Have a 2.0 College GPA from the last school attended

The Comprehensive Articulation Agreement enables North Carolina community college graduates of two-year Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degree programs who are admitted to constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina to transfer, having completed the general education core. Transfer students will be considered to have satisfied the UNC Minimum Course Requirements (MCR).

If you have earned an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree, you must:

  • Submit official College Transcripts for all colleges you have attended
  • Have a 2.0 College GPA from the last school attended
