What is Work-Study?Work Study is part-time employment for students to work and earn money while they are getting an education.
What is the rate of pay?
The rate of hourly pay is $8.00 for on-campus Work-Study assignments and $9.00 per hour for Community Service.
How can I get Work Study?
You must have a completed FAFSA on file by the priority date which is March 1st of each year. Students are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
How is eligibility determined?
Eligibility is based on unmet need determined by the information provided on the FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov).
When do I get paid?
Students are paid bi-weekly.
How do I pick-up my assignment?
Students are required to attend a Work Study workshop to pick-up their assignment. At that time, students are given an Authorization and Referral Form which authorizes the student to work.
Can I use work study to pay for my tuition?
No. Work Study is a program that you must work and earn hours to receive compensation.
