Extreme IT 2014
North Carolina A&T's Extreme IT Day 2014
School of Technology cordially invites you to the fourth annual Extreme IT Day on the NC A & T Campus on March 18, 2014. The purpose of Extreme IT Day is to introduce high school and college students to enterprise computing technologies, including the mainframe and cloud. We are looking for students who are interested in information technology from the disciplines of computer science, information systems, engineering, accounting/finance, marketing and others. Corporate participants last year included: IBM, Cisco, Red Hat, BB & T, Clear Blade, John Deere, CA and many others.
High schools participating will be from Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Charlotte, Durham, and Eastern NC. This will be a one-day event, with the focus on high schools in the morning and the colleges in the afternoon. Start time will be around 9 am, end time for high schools is 1PM.
An interesting addition this year will be a “Career Expo” where organizations that use enterprise systems will be able to directly interact with the best and the brightest college students from NC A & T and other participating colleges. These organizations will be able to make presentations, demonstrations, receive resumes, interview students or use the time in any way they find productive in identifying the next group of enterprise systems superstars. The Mini Career Fair will be from 1-5 PM. Last year we had 400+ students from high schools and colleges. Chris Estes, CIO for the State of NC, will deliver the introductory address.
We look forward to your participation.
