The overall career goal of Mrs. Ofori-Boadu is to utilize her education, training and experience to enrich the lives of others. She has a BS degree in Building Technology, a Master’s degree in Construction Management, and has attained an ABD status in a doctoral degree program in Technology Management (with a specialty in Construction Management). Mrs. Ofori-Boadu has over ten years of relevant occupational experience in Construction Technology, Construction Documents and Contracts, Estimating and Bidding, and Project Management. Andrea has taught and advised over 250 undergraduate students. She is committed to utilizing effective teaching strategies to foster learning in her classroom. Mrs. Ofori-Boadu has also served in various capacities, including as a Principal Investigator on various research / service oriented projects. Andrea’s research interests are in the areas of sustainability, technology management and construction education.
Currently, Mrs. Ofori-Boadu serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Construction Engineering and Management (JCEM) and the International Journal of Project Planning and Finance. She is also a Visiting Accreditation Team Member for the Association of Technology Management and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). Andrea is a member of the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACEI).
As a young professional, she has had the privilege of publishing and presenting findings from her research at several professional conferences. She is a detail oriented, analytical and self-motivated scholar, as well as a critical and creative thinker. Mrs. Ofori-Boadu enjoys working in a progressive and professional environment.
She lives in the City of Greensboro with her husband, Victor, and three precious children.
