Early Field Experiences

Early Field Experience(s)

Early Field Experiences provide an opportunity for candidates to gain practice-based knowledge, skills, and dispositions that would not normally be available solely through course work. Teacher education candidates at NC A&T complete a minimum of four (4) field experiences, prior to student teaching, which are attached to professional education courses that are sequenced through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). The field experiences are sequentially planned, supervised, and evaluated in which candidates observe, assist, tutor, instruct, and/or conduct research. These experiences may occur on the campus of the University, within a public school, or in local community agency/industry in conjunction with a course.

The application and assessment processes for Early Field experiences are available through TaskStream.  Each candidate must self-enroll in this program.
