SSFM - Leisure Studies

The Leisure Studies program option focuses on the operation and maintenance of public parks and recreation agencies and the provision of programs at the private, voluntary, and commercial levels. Career opportunities in the Leisure Studies option may include employment in local, state, and federal parks and recreation, Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA/YWCA, and convention and business bureaus. Students are required to take 18 credit hours of courses in Leisure Studies as part of the 124 credit hours required for graduation. Students must obtain and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.3 to continue matriculation through the program.
