The Application Process

Persons applying for graduate study in the Department of Human Development and Services at North Carolina A&T State University must have earned a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college. The application packet may be obtained from the School of Graduate Studies, Room 120 Gibbs Hall. Only complete applications are reviewed. Prospective students are encouraged to follow-up with the Graduate School regarding the completion of their application packet.

The Department of Human Development and Services at North Carolina A&T State University accepts and reviews applications for admission once a year. Deadline for counseling applications is Feb 15th.

The applicant’s packet will be reviewed by the School of Graduate Studies and the Admissions Committee of the Department of Human Development and Services. Applicants may be requested to participate in a pre-admission interview with departmental faculty. The admissions decision at the department level is based on the recommendation of the Admissions Committee, other departmental faculty, and the chairperson.
