About the School of Education
“21st Century Professional Educators: Catalysts for Learning and Leading”
The School of Education is a learning centered organization that prepares a variety of educators and human services professionals and supports their continuing professional development. Building on our Historically Black College and University (HBCU) legacy of exemplary teaching and scholarship as well as effective public service, we offer degrees at the baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral levels. Regardless of academic program, School of Education faculty immerse candidates in rich authentic experiences in the formal classroom and external to the classroom where they enhance their knowledge, skills, and dispositions as educational leaders. Consequently, graduates from the School of Education are catalysts for learning and leading in diverse contexts who engage in collaborative practice with key stakeholders from local to global communities.
