Dr. Addus earned a Ph.D. in Business Logistics at the Pennsylvania State University. He received his M.S. degree in Transportation and Public Utilities from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. His undergraduate work in Economics was done at Haile Selassie I University (currently Addis Ababa University). Dr. Addus’ research has investigated air transportation economics and policy, transportation and logistics education and careers, road transportation’s role in socio-economic development and public policies in Africa, and public transit productivity. He has been published in journals such as Transportation Research Record, Transportation Quarterly, Journal of the Transportation Research Forum, Transportation Management, Journal of Business and Economic Studies, and International Journal of Business and Public Administration. He previously served as University Service Participant in Ethiopian Airlines and Transportation Analyst in the Planning Commission Office (currently Ministry of Economic Development and Cooperation) in Ethiopia. Dr. Addus is a member of American Economic Association, Transportation Research Forum, and Beta Gama Sigma.
