Ronald L. Campbell graduated with a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Oakwood College and continued his education at The Ohio State University where he earned an M.B.A. He worked for the State of Tennessee as a State Auditor before beginning his teaching career at Oakwood College. After eight years he further continued his education and four years later earned the Ph.D. in Accounting from Texas A&M University. Dr. Campbell joined the accounting faculty at North Carolina A&T State University (NCAT) in 1993. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc., and other professional organizations.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Campbell has other responsibilities at NCAT which include faculty advisor for the ALOBEAEM Accounting Society-NABA Student Chapter and freshman advisor for accounting students. His research interests include Accounting Regulation, Accounting Education, and Computer Technology & Communication in Business and Government. He has presented at professional meetings and published articles in professional journals. Dr. Campbell received the “National Achievement in Education” award at the National Association of Black Accountant’s National Conventions in New York, NY (2002) and Phoenix, AZ (2012). He has also been awarded a summer faculty intern position at several corporations.
