4-H Mini-Society
Program Description:
Mini-Society uses an experience-based approach to teach youth, ages 8-12, entrepreneurship, citizenship, economics, ethics, government, and decision-making.
Target audience:
Youth 8-12 years; volunteers
Goals and Objectives:
Youth participants will:
1. increase their knowledge in multiple subject areas including government, ethics, economics, and entrepreneurship through critical thinking, role-playing and interactive instructions,
2. increase entrepreneurship skills through starting their own business,
3. increase entrepreneurship competency through the use of at least four of the five steps in starting a business for an International Day experience, and
4. increase their knowledge of local business practices through interactions with community business persons
