Children's Environmental Health
Program Description:
Children's environmental health issues are a major concern, particularly with the increase of asthma among children. This program addresses the environmental health- related issues that have a significant impact on children, especially those in limited-resource families.
Target audience:
Limited-resource families, day care centers and schools
Goals and Objectives:
1. Participants will identify children's environmental health issues related to:

indoor air quality
-
asthma and its triggers
-
second-hand smoke
-
pesticide and herbicide use
-
lead poisoning
-
mold and mildew
-
household hazardous products
-
mercury
-
sun exposure
2. Participants will become proactive at reducing and/or eliminating identified potential health problems
