New Graduate Programs Approved
The Graduate School is pleased to announce the approval of new master's and doctoral programs.
PhD in Computer Science
The University of North Carolina (UNC) Board of Governors recently announced the approval to establish a Ph.D. program in computer science at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
“We are eager to begin the work of establishing this new program,” said Dr. Beryl McEwen, N.C. A&T’s vice provost for strategic planning and institutional effectiveness at N.C. A&T. MS in Agricultural and Environmental Systems
This new master's degree program is housed in the School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. The M.S. in Agricultural and Environmental Systems will have three concentrations:
- Agribusiness and Food Industry Management housed in the Department of Agribusiness, Applied Economics and Agriscience Education
- Integrated Animal Health Systems housed in the Department of Animal Sciences
- Natural Resources and Environmental Systems housed in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Design.
PhD in Rehabilitation Counseling and Rehabilitation Counselor Education
This new doctoral program is housed in the Department of Human Development and Services in the School of Education. The Doctor of Philosophy in Rehabilitation Counseling and Rehabilitation Counselor Education is designed to prepare culturally competent students to work as counselor educators, researchers, clinicians, and supervisors in academic and non-academic settings. In addition to establishing a core foundation in rehabilitation counseling and research, major emphasis is provided in the area of Trauma and Trauma Informed Care.
