Graduate Assistantship Opportunities
As part of its drive to enhance research and graduate education, North Carolina A&T has established a number of financial assistance opportunities for outstanding graduate students. These typically take the form of fellowships, research assistantships, teaching assistantships and tuition remission. All awards are highly competitive. A student may receive at most one of these awards in a given year. Information regarding teaching assistantships is provided below.
Students may not apply directly for these assistantships nor is a separate application required. Instead, they must be nominated by their prospective faculty advisor with the endorsement of the program coordinator, department chair and dean. Selection will be based on prior college transcripts, letters of recommendation, application essay, and other information available in the graduate school application. Nominations must be submitted by March 15 for Fall admissions. Awardees will be selected by the Awards Committee of the Graduate Council.
