Welcome Alumni and Friends!

Dear College of Engineering Aggies and Friends,

With the impact of your gifts, time, talent, and financial support, we are poised to accomplish our goals and benchmarks set forth in our Strategic Plan Preeminence 2020 .

Your volunteer leadership and generosity inspires our students to push the boundaries of engineering and computer science innovation as they apply classroom experiences to practice. This fall we are showcasing our undergraduates in the First Annual College of Engineering Intern/Co-op Competition, as they will share with the Aggie family the knowledge and skills that they have mastered in the global workplace.

Do you remember how much textbooks cost when you were an Aggie? Engineering textbooks currently cost an average of $750 per semester. Did you know that most College of Engineering students do not purchase textbooks? Additionally, 90% of NC A&T undergrads rely on some form of financial aid to make their dream of an engineering education possible. Your generosity helps provide scholarship support to those following in your footsteps as the next generation of proud Aggies. We have many ways that you can make a difference right now in the lives of our students.

In the 2012-2013 academic year, we will work with our community of alumni, friends, and partners to fulfill the promise of an outstanding engineering education to our present and future students. It is my sincere hope that through the special relationships we develop, our students will continue to develop into the engineering and computer science leaders of tomorrow.

On behalf of the entire College of Engineering, I thank you for all the important ways you contribute to ourPreeminence 2020. It is your generosity of time, talent, and financial support that allows us to be the incredible college that we are.

I welcome your feedback or questions at any time.

Warmest regards,

Dianna Vass, Ph.D.
