Undergraduate Student National Dental Association
The Undergraduate Student National Dental Association (USNDA) is a thriving component of the Student National Dental Association. The NC A&T State University USNDA is comprised of undergraduate, post-baccalaureate and Masters graduate students dedicated to becoming dental professionals in various areas of dentistry. Students in the USNDA organize valuable professional development activities including an annual ‘Dental Day’, Recruitment & Informational sessions hosted by dental school recruiters, and multiple ‘career readiness’ sessions sponsored by the Old North State Dental Society. They attend enrichment programs such as Impressions Programs at UNC Chapel Hill and Virginia Commonwealth University. Additionally, USNDA member are very active in the community. They participate in Mission of Mercy (MOMS) Dental Clinics, Urban Ministries, and Oral Cancer Awareness month activities. Furthermore, the USNDA is a participant in the National Learning Institute Dental Pipeline Program, in collaboration with the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine.
How can you become a member of USNDA? Students who have an overall GPA of 3.0 may apply for full membership into USNDA. Students with a GPA below 3.0 may apply as an associate member, with the option of reapplying for full membership upon meeting the GPA requirement of 3.0.
