School of Business and Economics

Through programs designed to develop analytical, technological, team building, and communication skills, together with business acumen, students are prepared to competitively perform and advance in a global economy.  The School's learner-centered environment is characterized by effective instruction and faculty scholarship, and emphasizes the importance of leadership, ethical reasoning, critical thinking, and the need for continuous learning.

The School of Business and Economics occupies a modern facility, maintains small-to-medium-sized classes, and offers invaluable experiential learning opportunities to students through a variety of learning labs, including a Financial Trading Room. Graduates are frequently recruited by top regional, national, and international organizations, and by prestigious graduate and professional schools.

The School's focus on excellence resulted in initial accreditation of its academic programs by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business - in 1979.  We seek to educate diverse business professionals, through the interdisciplinary study of accounting, business education, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, information technology, management, marketing, sales, and supply chain management. Through our centers and institutes, we also serve the local, regional, national and global business communities with applied research on issues of practical concern.

Tomorrow’s business leaders can begin their professional education today by exploring our academic options or contacting us with questions about the School of Business and Economics.  We stand ready to assist you and look forward to welcoming you into one of our majors.
