Class Cancellation due to Severe Weather

In the case of severe weather, Continuing Education will monitor conditions throughout the day. Snow, ice and other natural emergencies in the Piedmont Triad can have an effect on class schedules and the workday at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

When Chancellor Harold L. Martin makes a decision about a cancellation, delay or early dismissal, the Office of University Relations promptly disseminates an announcement to internal media devices and the external news media. Efforts are made to ensure that an announcement is broadcast between 6 - 6:15 a.m. N.C. A&T will open as usual if an announcement is not made by 6:30 a.m.

If the decision is made to cancel classes during the day, the Continuing Education staff will contact you by email and or telephone.  The University will post an announcement on our website: www.ncat.edu.
