The Kresge HBCU Initiative pays
tribute to African American Donors who make major contributions
to their alma mater.
• Lillie M. Robbins '66 recently
fulfilled a long-term dream in 2004 when she donated $25,000
to her beloved Alma Mater to establish the Lillie Robbins
Endowed Scholarship Fund at N.C. A&T to honor her family
and those that inspired her.
• Lillie Robbins has been
actively involved in A&T’s Alumni Association since
her graduation in countless leadership positions at the local,
regional and national levels.
• Among her many positions
she served as National Alumni President from 1997-99.
• She has received more than
six (6) awards from the university including the Alumni Excellence
Award in 1999.
• Ms. Robbins retired in
2002 from the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil
Rights after 34 years of award-winning service.
