We are the "T" in A&T
The SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY has a rich and eventful
history. The programs that are now a part of the school
can be traced to the University's early beginnings. The
"trade programs " of the early days have evolved with
time into what exists today. During the fifties, the
evolving "trade programs" of the University's technical
institute were joined with the changing industrial
education programs located in the SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING
to form the Division of Industrial Education and
Technology in the SCHOOL OF EDUCATION. As technology and
industry changed, so did the programs of the division.
The division's programs became very popular with
industry, and job placement outstanding. Thus the
University began to recognize the need to place more
emphasis on the school's degree programs.
