NEA Annual Meeting Call for Papers

The National Economic Association (NEA) will hold its annual meeting in Philadelphia, January 7-9, 2005 in conjunction with the meetings of the Allied Social Science Association.  We are making a call for papers, sessions, or suggestions for the program.  We ask that you submit abstracts for papers or proposals for complete panels in all areas that advance the study and understanding of the economic challenges confronting the black community.  Among the topics we are especially interested in are the following:

An abstract for each paper must be submitted, identifying paper title, authors’ and discussants’ names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, and fax numbers.  Abstracts must also include the new Journal of Economic Literature bibliographic codes.

If you are interested in organizing a joint panel with the American Economic Association (AEA), please submit your material by January 24, 2004 since the AEA must receive such proposals by February 1, 2004 (a Sunday!).  Materials for all other NEA sessions should be submitted by March 1, 2004.

Please forward your suggestions and submission materials to:
