Harold L. Martin Sr., chancellor of Winston-Salem State University since 2000, has been named senior vice president for academic affairs of the 16-campus University of North Carolina.

Police & Public Safety Update

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Police and Public Safety Chief Curtis Bigelow announced the following additional measures to ensure the safety of the campus community:

1) Increasing the number of officers patrolling the campus.
2) Continuing to closely monitor the closed-circuit television for any unusual activity or crowd gatherings around campus.
3) Continuing to educate the campus concerning safety awareness.
4) Collaborating with the Office of University Relations to disseminate the following safety tips to the campus community:

Campus Safety Tips

On July 29, A&T will receive its award for becoming a National Recognized Accredited Agency, CALEA (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc.). CALEA ensures that law enforcement agencies meet professionally-recognized criteria for excellence in management and service delivery.
