AGGIeNEWS features an Aggie FAQs column periodically to provide up-to-date information regarding important issues to the university family. The answers will be provided by key university officials. This Aggie FAQs column regarding the Laurel Street Parking Deck was developed by the Parking Service Division.

1. When will the deck open?
The deck is scheduled to open on September 18, 2006.

2. If I purchased a deck permit, where can I park until the deck is opened?
Anyone who has a deck permit can park in any Faculty/Staff or Student lot until the deck is opened. Once the deck opens, the lot behind the Library becomes Student parking only. However, the gravel lot on Benbow Rd. remains available.

3. If the deck is unavailable on September 18th, will the annual fee be prorated?
Yes, the annual fee will be prorated.

4. If I currently have a reserved parking space, can I continue to park in my space until the deck is ready?
Yes, you may continue to park in your current reserved space.

5. If I purchase a deck permit, am I limited to the deck only, or will I be able to park in other lots on campus?
If you have a deck permit you may park in other locations on campus except in handicapped or reserved spaces.

6. If I am planning to park in the deck, should I wait until it opens to buy a permit?
No, anyone who parks on campus after September 5th must display a valid permit on their vehicle.
